Funding and Support

Zata Omm Dance Projects is incorporated in Ontario as a non-profit charitable arts organisation. We are constantly seeking private and corporate donations for our productions and educational programmes. A tax receipt will be issued for all donations received.

We are deeply thankful for generous funding by the Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council and the Toronto Arts Council. Many of our productions have been supported by these agencies. The Ontario Arts Council is an agency of the Government of Ontario. The Toronto Arts Council is an arms length body of the City of Toronto.

Zata Omm is very grateful to the George Cedric Metcalf Foundation for supporting multiple research projects in dance and new technology in the 'Zata Omm Dance and Technology Research Laboratory'.

We are also grateful to have recieved a Small Capital Grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

artsVest

artsVest ™ is a sponsorship training and matching incentive program designed to stimulate innovative business sponsorship and corporate engagement in arts and culture. artsVest operates at a local level in select communities across Canada each year, working one community at a time to build healthy, prosperous and creative communities by training small and mid-sized arts and culture organizations on how to forge successful, long-term partnerships with the private sector. In addition, artsVest provides matching incentive grants for new sponsorships raised by participating organizations to spark local business support of arts and culture.

For any net new sponsorship agreements with payment recieved by March 2016, we will receive matching funds under the ArtsVest program for up to $5,000. Matching is dollar for dollar for cash sponsorships and at a reduced rate for in-kind sponsorship. Our deadline to raise those funds is the end of March.

For sponsors, we can offer advertising, education, staff development, or other services in exchange for cash or in-kind services/supplies sponsorship. Sponsors could become directly involved in research labs for staff development or as part of a corporate social responsibility program. Companies who have an environmental focus either because of their product or company ethos, could obtain promotional opportunities, engage with prospective clients in an unusual forum or simply use the process - involving many people in their interest group - as a niche marketing opportunity. All in a relatively affordable manner compared with other marketing and advertising approaches.
