Zata Omm Dance Projects provides classes, workshops, seminars and dance oriented programs. We Offer opportunities for students to study and learn various contemporary dance techniques.
In addition to providing dance performances in public spaces, community centres, educational facilities etc. We also provide customized workshops.
Contemporary dance pieces will be created in liaison with groups at such educational, cultural or care facilities with the focus being on student participation. In this capacity Zata Omm Dance Projects will act as a facilitator and educator in the personal, social and artistic development of these centers.
Zata Omm provides ballet and contemporary classes for other touring
dance companies performing in Canada. We provided classes for
Matthew Bourne's New Adventures 'Edward Scissorhands' at Hummingbird
Centre. Our teachers include Cindy Macedo (Ballet), Johanna Bergfeldt
(Contemporary) and William Yong (Contemporary).
William Yong taught open contemporary technique classes and workshops at the 509 Dance Collective, the School of Toronto Dance Theatre and York University over the last year.
William Yong was invited by 'Lululemon Athletica', the athletic apparel company, to provide a seminar on setting and achieving goals for dance artists.
