A b o u t    Z a t a    O m m Z a t a    O m m is a contemporary dance company based in Toronto, Ontario. It is a not-for-profit performing arts organization that was founded in 2005. O u r    P a s s i o n is to conceive, choreograph and realize dynamic, provocative, exploratory works to engage, challenge and communicate with our audience. O u r    C r e a t i o n s are dedicated to forms, imagination, craftsmanship, clarity and choreographic invention. O u r    O b j e c t i v e is to create new experiences in dance. On stage, through education, outreach and other media we endeavour to reach a broader audience. We seek to make works sufficiently engaging and imaginative to attract new audiences. O u r    C o m m i t m e n t is to be an innovator in the creation of dance works of a contemporary nature by involving professionals from all disciplines. The company is in a state of constant development with ongoing artistic research to explore the artistic climate and track the current trends. As a result, the company involves itself, as often as possible, in multi-disciplinary, interdisciplinary and collaborative dance projects. O u r    C o n c e p t i o n We are Zen And The Actualization Of Modern Movement. 'Zen' conveys a sense of simplistic representation of complex ideas and that those ideas and the movement they inspire flow from the Center of Being. 'Actualization' is the final implementation of those abstractions into the concrete form of physical movement.
